Fun things to do in Lake Arrowhead

My kids LOVE to watch the birds and fish that visit the Village.

Here’s a list of some of my favorite activities in Lake Arrowhead for you and your family to do. Let’s go adventuring!

Santa’s Village / Sky Park @skyparksantasvillage
OUR GUESTS GET A SPECIAL DISCOUNT! - Contact us for more info!
This has got to be our favorite thing to do with our children. So much so that we ended up buying a year membership! I can’t explain it all in a paragraph, but imagine : Santa, rockwalls, rollerskating, ice skating, bike trails, archery, ax throwing, pedal go-carts, zip line, parks, magic shows, bb guns, and MORE! You’ve simply got to check it out!

Lake Arrowhead Village @lavillage
So you’re in (or going up to) Lake Arrowhead… you simply have to go to the Village! From SHOPPING, to RESTAURANTS and even concerts on certain weekends you're in for a treat. Oh, and there are beautiful views of the lake that you can take in from many eateries as well as just park benches down by the waterfront. Oh, and then your kids will want to feed the ducks and you’ll never get to leave! haha

Mackay Recreational Park (GREAT for kids!) - 321 Rouse Ranch Rd, San Bernadino
This free to the public park is only a short drive from our Aframe cabin and a ton of fun. It has pickle ball courts, a basketball court, sand volleyball, a kid zip line and traditional play structure for kids. Plus, a large sheltered picnic area that has amazing views of the lake. There’s even a dog park! My only tip… bring lots of water and wear sunscreen if you go in the warm weather months. It can get HOT!

Arrowhead Queen Boat Tours
Take a boat tour on the historic Arrowhead Queen Paddleboat all around Lake Arrowhead. Hear about the history of the lake, the region and the lake front houses that have been owned by celebrities in every era of history! This is a fun experience for the whole family. Check out the website for times and tickets.

Twin Peaks Farmers Market @twinpeaksfarmersmarket
This excellent family-friendly experience happens every THURSDAY in Twin Peaks - so mark your calendar to pick up all kinds of locally grown and made products. From spices and produce to coffee, cheese, florals and crafts you are going to taste your way thru the market and go home with some amazing treasures. And if you’re still hungry - checkout this list of great places to go eat in and around Lake Arrowhead!

SnowValley @snowvalleymtnresort
Want to go skiing in the winter? We love taking our family here! They offer 1/2 day lessons for kids and we take full advantage of this so we too can go hit the slopes! Bring your own gear or rent theirs, either way it’s a lovely way to spend a day up in the mountains. And in the summer, it turns into a mountain bike park so you can still go adventuring! And if you’re looking for more adventure / hikes and trails - check this list!

Lake Mud Pottery @lakemudpottery
Take a pottery class in Crestline! Yes, get your hands dirty and have a blast. This fully functional pottery studio features classes, workshops, one on one learning and even has unique one-of-a-kind pottery treasures made by the artist / owner. They’re known for their coffee mugs… hope you can grab one before they’re sold out again!

McKenzie Water School
Contact these guys for paid boat rides and water ski lessons right on Lake Arrowhead! This is one of the only ways to access our beautiful lake, so if you’re all in, contact these guys to make sure you can step foot (or your whole body) in the cool waters of Lake Arrowhead!

Blue Jay Cinema @bluejaycinema
Are you a movie buff, or just enjoy catching a show sometimes? This movie theater has thankfully reopened and features newly released titles. A fun indoor alternative in case you need a rest day up in the mountains!

Lake Gregory @lakegregoryco
Go jump in the lake! No for real… you can buy a day pass at Lake Gregory (in the summer) and have an amazing time with your family on the beach, the inflatable water structure, rent a paddleboard or canoe… and more! It’s spectacular and in case you forget beach towels, I’ve got 6 ready for you to borrow at our Aframe! And if you haven’t had enough adventure… check out my list of top hikes around Lake Arrowhead.
